Our clients, who have been living in their property for 30 years, had felt that the kitchen now needed an update to be given a modern touch while still keeping the traditional style and feel that it had as a 1920’s newbuild. Our client wanted most appliances to be integrated to keep everything cohesive. They also opted for an induction hob rather than gas hob this time, as they wanted the cooking area to be easier to clean and safer to use. These are the before and after pictures.
Shaker style kitchens have spanned the generations and remain as popular as ever. This means you can keep a traditional look and here, grey, textured shaker style doors are softened with brushed steel handles to add a more modern style to the kitchen.
Using 3 different tones of grey throughout the kitchen, and warm under cabinet lighting, allowed us to amplify and illuminate the grained shaker style doors. It also allowed us to bring out the features in the laminate worktops and heat resistant splashbacks.
The customer chose to move their washing machine over to incorporate a deep drawer section on that side instead. Having a kitchen redesign often means you can make small changes which make your layout work better for you.
This makeover included traditional style shelving on the wall, and new tiled flooring from our store. In grey tones it perfectly sets off the rest of the kitchen and makes a one-stop shop experience for the complete look.
