Beautiful kitchen brings the outside, in

Share Article

This customer approached us wanting a new kitchen with green and earthy tones, complimented with copper accessories. This ties in with the increasingly popular trend for green kitchens, and is sympathetic to the beautiful countryside views out of their windows.

The old kitchen

Let's take a quick look at the starting point: A pretty, free-standing kitchen with a large range for cooking, individual appliances, separate areas incorporating storage and work areas, but sorely lacking in cupboard space for modern living. Generally, a sign that you don't have enough storage is when you start getting 'clutter' and can't put things away. Pretty though it is, the customer found this an issue with their old kitchen.

The new look:

Beautiful clean lines | Tall height units | Large worktop area

  • Integrated Bosch single oven, Bosch compact oven with microwave, Essentials vented hob, integrated washing machine and dishwasher, built in fridge/freezer
  • A finish in Locano touch in Jade green with flat doors and a grain effect
  • Copper shadow handles throughout
  • Custom glass splashback and matching windowsills
  • Attractive keystone grey tiles also from Colour Supplies

Feature 1

Originally wanting wall units to go round the corner on the fridge/freezer side, the customer was introduced to the idea of a large pantry cupboard, recently introduced by our supplier, Crown kitchens. Making the most of a corner space, this full height cupboard offers easy access to all shelving and can be customised to suit the clients requirements.

Feature 2

A beautiful quartz worktop, Taj Mahal, was fitted to the full length of the base cupboards. It features a coppery vein running through to match the design brief and offers plenty of space for food preparation, which was so lacking before.

Feature 3

A designer, pull-out copper tap was also installed by the classic Belfast sink.  Stunning glass splashback and window sills were installed in Antique Rose Copper giving an individual and  luxurious look which pulls the design together.

Feature 4

The large hob has been fitted in front of the window and benefits from an integrated extractor. Vented hobs mean you can now site a hob anywhere within your kitchen, subject to fuel supply and no longer have to worry about placing on a suitable outside wall.
