Creating a Colour of the Year

Did you know that ages before a colour is created, Dulux consult a range of experts from around the world about where the world is heading and what factors will be influencing the way we live?

This global trend forecast then helps Dulux create colour stories, which will fit our way of living.

With the desire to break free, press reset and welcome in the new at the heart of their story for 2025, the theme  became 'Just Leap' - to empower us all to get out there, change, and create.

3 palettes of colours are created, and one overall colour chosen for 2025 to put joy on your wall and bring a smile to your face.

Dulux Colour of the Year 2025, True Joy yellow paint.

And you thought it was just another shade of yellow paint!

Colour Palette 1 reflects being excited about persuing new horizons

Colour Palette 2 wants to celebrate all that is hand-made

Earthy tones compliment the yellow of True Joy giving a softer palette of shades to choose from.

Colour Palette 3  takes us back to re-embrace with our heritage

Rich, heritage colours work wonderfully well to bring warmth, depth and soul to your living space.
