Description

An effective descaling fluid which has been specially designed for the removal of scale from hot water apparatus such as coffee-makers, kettles, washing machines and dish-washers. HG Descaler for Appliances (previously HG Quick Descaler) will clear limescale from appliances to keep them efficient.

If allowed to build up, limescale and other deposits will make heater elements use more energy, meaning your appliance runs less efficiently and will wear out more quickly. Furthermore, in coffee- makers, scale does nothing to improve the taste of the coffee.

The directions for use of HG Descalerfor Appliances vary with each heating appliance, and for thoroughly removing all traces of scale, the hardness of the water is a key factor. The correct application of HG Descaler is on the packaging.

Danger - Causes severe skin burns and eye damage.

  • If medical advice is needed, have product container or label to hand.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Wear protective gloves & eye protection.
  • If swallowed, rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting.
  • If on skin or hair, take all contaminated clothing off immediately & rinse skin with water.
  • If in eyes, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present & easy to do so then continue rinsing.
  • Always read label before use.

The descaling method depends on the type of machine.

Use as coffee machine descaler:

  1. Dilute 50ml of HG descaler for appliances with half a litre of water and pour it carefully into the reservoir of the coffee-maker.
  2. Use the machine the way you would when you make coffee.
  3. Pour the descaler solution down the drain. If the machine does not percolate properly, repeat the treatment with a new mixture of coffee descaler.
  4. Finally, clean the machine three times with clean water to ensure no limescale or unwanted tastes remain.

Use as kettle descaler:

  1. Dilute 50ml of HG descaler for appliances with half a litre of water and pour it carefully into the electric kettle.
  2. Do not switch the kettle on, but leave the liquid to work cold for approximately 40 minutes.
  3. Pour the solution down the drain. If the scale has not disappeared completely, repeat the treatment with the kettle descaler.
  4. Finally, rinse the kettle thoroughly after the treatment.
  5. The kettle is ready for use.

Use as washing machine descaler:

  1. Add HG descaler for appliances to the detergent tray. Use 100ml in soft-water areas and 200ml in areas with hard water.
  2. Run the shortest programme with a temperature of 60ºC.
  3. Switch the machine off halfway through the programme and wait 20 minutes to make sure the washing machine descaler works properly.
  4. After 20 minutes leave the machine to finish the programme.
  5. The washing machine is ready for use.

Please read Safety Sheet before purchasing.

Credit Card Fraud Safety and your delivery

We  take internet fraud extremely seriously, your protection is of  paramount importance to us.  Orders that are over £200 in value will  only be delivered to the billing address, this is a security measure  used in conjunction with our fraud checks to give our customers added  fraud protection.  An additional fraud check for orders over £200 is  that we may ask you to provide a utility bill proving your address  details, we realise this may be inconvenient, however it is a check  recommended by our banking partners to prevent credit card fraud.  This  check is in place for your protection.
